BIO

Sasco De Dancehall Chaplain, born Sahr Thomas Lebbie in Sierra Leone, is an Afro-reggae-dancehall artist known for seamlessly fusing his faith, cultural heritage, and diverse musical influences into a distinctive sound. His passion for reggae and dancehall was sparked during his secondary school years, shaped by the work of iconic Jamaican artists such as Sean Paul, Beenie Man, Busy Signal, and Bounty Killer.

Musical Evolution and Breakthroughs

Sasco began his professional music career in 2010, quickly emerging as a prominent figure in Sierra Leone’s growing reggae-dancehall scene. His innovative integration of Afrobeat elements with reggae and dancehall rhythms distinguished him from his peers and earned him recognition both locally and internationally.

In 2017, he represented the Western Region in the prestigious East vs. West National Competition, showcasing his talent on a national platform. That same year, he delivered a standout performance at Alonzo’s concert at the Bintumani Hotel in Freetown—an event attended by fans from England and other countries. Prior to his performance, he was featured in an interview with Boss TV (UK), further enhancing his visibility on the global stage.

In January 2018, Sasco headlined a major concert at the Diamond Lodge Hotel in Kono, organized by Icons From Ngaiya. The show marked another key milestone in his career, reinforcing his reputation for electrifying live performances. His participation in numerous community events has earned him widespread respect, as he consistently captivates audiences with his high-energy delivery and engaging stagecraft.

International Recognition and Collaborations

Sasco’s first international single, “Day Off,” released in 2021, marked a significant turning point. The track received extensive airplay in Jamaica, St. Lucia, New York, Sierra Leone, Ghana, and across several Caribbean territories, demonstrating his ability to connect with diverse audiences worldwide.

His growing influence led to collaborations with international entities such as Bosslady Production (Canada), Pinchy Kobi Promotion (Jamaica), and NAJ Records (Canada), expanding his reach across the Caribbean and North America. He has also collaborated with notable Sierra Leonean artists including Tasha (Swadu), Jakey Jake, the late Flakey, and DopeBoi Stex, creating music that resonates with both local and global listeners.
